This policy explains what happens to information when you visit arborvitaewellness.com. It covers this website only. It is not our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs your medical records and is a separate document — ask the front desk for a copy.
This website has no contact form, no login, and no account system. It does not ask you for your name, your email, or any health information, and there is nowhere on it to submit them. What we do use is measurement software that reports how the site is used in aggregate, and a booking tool operated by our scheduling provider.
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver these pages process ordinary technical information in order to serve them — your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the page requested, and the referring page. This is standard web infrastructure and is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and understand roughly how many people visit.
The exclusion of Google Analytics from the booking page is deliberate. We do not want advertising or analytics tools present on the page where you would arrange care. We also do not use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel anywhere on this site, and we do not share your browsing of this site with any advertising network.
Online booking is provided by our scheduling and practice software vendor. When you use it, the information you enter — your name, contact details, date of birth, reason for visit and insurance details — goes directly from your browser to that vendor. It is handled under our agreement with them, including the Business Associate Agreement required by HIPAA, and under their own privacy policy. Information you submit through booking is treated as part of your patient record, not as website data.
Our contact page embeds a map from Google so you can find the office. Loading that map involves a request to Google, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and both Google and Meta provide their own opt-out controls. Many browsers also send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour where it applies. Blocking these tools does not affect your ability to use the site or to book an appointment.
If you live in California, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its sale or sharing — and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
This site links to third-party sites, including our scheduling provider and Google. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the policies of any site you visit.
